IWD feels like a good moment to acknowledge the women around me. I’ve surrounded myself around many different women in my life & there are many different ways I admire them.
The women in my family who taught me resilience & character long before I understood how important those things would become. Who raised me to value the right things - say what you mean, stand by your word, to be kind, honest, be better & keep going even when things don’t go to plan.
Friends who are now mothers & absolute powerhouses, somehow raising small humans whilst building careers & whole lives alongside it whilst still having the time to factor in the group chats.
Friends carving their own paths - creating, performing, seeing the world, building homes, rebuilding lives, overcoming some incredibly hard shit & figuring things out on their own terms.
The rugby girls who remind me that age is but a number & prove weekly that women can show up for themselves, & thrive when they back each other - even if it comes with mud, bruises & questionable group chat.
The older I get, the more I realise there’s no single way to do life as a woman. Some of us are raising families, some are building businesses, some are grieving, some are chasing dreams that don’t fit a neat template.
But the women I admire most share & value one thing: integrity.
The courage to live honestly & walk their own path, whatever that looks like - no judgements passed but support & respect for one another.

Winding down 2025. Quite the reset year.
Arguably meant to be my wedding year - slight detour.
Instead, picked myself up off the floor (on numerous occasions) whilst the life I’d planned seemed to pick up where I left it. Not ideal but clarifying - to say the least.
There was a quiet (very loud) grief in it all - grieving “timelines” more than anything. I’ve found genuine happiness for other people’s news, whilst also clocking that each reminder meant I was technically further away from the things I’d dreamt of most. An annoying emotional combo, but a real one - & one I know a lot of women carry quietly.
I want to share to help those women feel less alone.
Chapters don’t define you - it’s just part of a much bigger story.
And when life feels unjust, there isn’t much you can do except accept it, trust yourself, and keep going.
I’ve worked constantly - weddings, corporates, residencies, late drives, early starts & in the process built work, confidence, & connections that feel properly mine. I’m grateful for the people who’ve trusted, booked, & allowed me the privilege to sing for their day.
I bought a house.
Not part of the original plan. A strong subplot - proud.
I travelled for perspective (and sanity).
Thailand to reset & build a body I no longer have (thanks to 🍷).
Ibiza with the girls to remember I’m fun & still love a boogie.
Porto with my sister to feel steady & value the relationships that matter.
And somewhere along the way, being single stopped feeling like a waiting room.
It became space. Confidence. Choice.
A reminder that feeling playful, desirable, & fully yourself doesn’t disappear just because life took a big turn.
I got better at saying no to those that didn’t quite fit or align. Very freeing. Would recommend.
This year also asked a lot from people I love & being close to that reiterated how lucky we all are & how we should value each day. Proud of them.
Ending the year not where I thought I’d be, but grounded, clear, grateful & trusting that there’s more than one way for a life to come together.
I like the woman I’ve become.
And if you’re someone quietly recalibrating, you’ve got this too.
Onwards. Here’s to 2026. 🍾

Bought a house.

With my quietly heroic parents’ help - because let’s be real, it’s bloody hard without.
Am I still hopeful for the other milestones in life? Ofc.
But this year, I’ve been healing, processing, doing the work, sitting in the loneliness and grief, but also learning to bloody enjoy myself and let go of a life that was once promised.
I’m incredibly proud of myself.
To anyone who isn’t living the “married with kids, buy a house” chapter we’re seemingly obsessed with - you’re not off track - you’re creating your own.
A reminder: Your worth is in your character, your integrity, and the way you bloody show up for yourself regardless of the timelines.
Now merging fully into my Bridget Jones era - expect wine-fuelled decorating, lots of dancing in the living room, & making a home that finally feels & most importantly is mine. 🍷

Rugby has been an absolute game-changer for my mental well-being—literally. Never in a million years did I think I’d have a shot at playing, but this sport has pushed my limits, toughened my resilience, and quite frankly, saved me during some of my lowest moments. I only wish I’d found it sooner.

If you know Bri, you know she cares deeply about the things that truly matter (sometimes to her own detriment), but that’s what makes her one of life’s rarities - compassionate, loyal, and unwaveringly kind.
She’s one of the smartest people I know, fun, witty, & an undefeated champion in every debate. She never backs down from what she believes in & (reluctantly, I admit) is usually right. She’s an incredible mummy, a hard worker, a beautiful dancer, a v.gifted writer and makes an excellent board game teammate, albeit bossy. She appreciates a good list, a glass (or bottle) of rosé, and ofc a sharing plate - prior to others realising.
From our made-up dance routines to mum forcing you to wear the same clothes as me (for years). From singing “The Beautiful South” on repeat, to Disney singalongs, to “borrowing” each other’s clothes for life & finally - to always knowing when I’ve needed Mabel’s extra love without asking 🐾🤍.

Grateful for this experience, to myself for getting here & for all the interesting, wonderful people I’ve met along the way. Life comes at you fast & can redirect you in ways you didn’t foresee. Be present, own your shit and remind yourself there are always better days to come!

Merry Christmas to all my friends, loved ones & supporters.
This year has been a whirlwind—beautiful in some moments, heartbreaking in others, & filled with lessons I’m still unpacking. Christmas has a way of making us pause & reflect on the bigger picture, and today, I’m choosing honesty as its ever more important to be real ¬t always paint the perfect picture we all see on IG.
I’m grateful for the love & support I’ve received from the people around me, especially in times when I didn’t feel my strongest.
I’m thankful for the lessons, even the hard ones. They’ve challenged me to grow, to rethink what truly matters, & to see my own strength even when I doubted it. Life doesn’t always unfold as we plan, but there’s wisdom in trusting the process, even when it feels so messy.
This Christmas, I want to celebrate the simple things: a warm home, kind words, memories of those we’ve lost, shared laughter, family, & moments of stillness. (And of course that epic finale @gavinandstaceyuk ).
I’m reminded that joy is found in the little things we often take for granted—family, friends, health, & the hope that a new year brings.
To anyone finding this season hard, know you’re not alone. Life is imperfect, & sometimes the holidays magnify that.
Here’s to cherishing the people & moments that matter most, to letting go of what no longer serves us, & to moving forward with hearts full of hope. May your Christmas / New Year be filled with love, warmth, and everything that lights you up.
To all the brides & grooms I’ve had the pleasure of singing for this year - it is always an honour & I am always so gracious for the trust you put in me to be your soundtrack for the day. Looking forward to more of this in future.
